      <image:title>Katie Lubbers - Katie Lubbers</image:title>
<image:caption>Coach Katie was introduced to volleyball when she was in 6th grade, and has been playing ever since. She grew up in Laguna Beach, CA, where she played for Laguna Beach HS and four years at Orange County Volleyball Club under Charlie Brand, as a starting outside hitter. Katie was named the MVP Varsity player her junior year of HS. She went on to play as a back row and serving specialist at the University of Colorado at Boulder, a D1 college, where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Katie started coaching with her high school volleyball coach during the summers of her college years. She has been coaching in Laguna Beach since 2020, and has been the Club Lite Head Coach with 949 Volleyball since 2023. Katie’s coaching philosophy is to train skills the proper way, with an emphasis in learning in a fun yet competitive environment. She believes that teaching the “why” behind all the skills will lead to smarter, more confident players. Katie wants her players to learn positive life skills on and off the court, and loves being able to teach lessons that players can carry with them to help deal with the pressures of competition.</image:caption>
